Strays head back out to Chestnut hill after
riding
up the adjoining neighborhood's hill. Chestnut hill's crest is out of
the
picture to the left
Sunday January 7, Strays will ride from the Chevron
station at NW 53rd Ave, and NW 43rd St. on a 28 mile ride
to
Alachua and back.
Arrive at the Chevron Station at 9:15 am for
a 9:30
departure.
Speeds 2.5 - 46 mph, depending on terrain.
Average speed has typically been 13 -
14 mph in recent times for the Strays. This ride will
have
some moderate hills on 241 and Millhopper, but is mostly flat.
There will be a rest room / convenience store stop at the mid
point in
the ride.
Post ride the hungry may head to a local restaurant. Possibly the
Subway/Starbucks in Hunters Crossing Shopping Center.
No pacelines, no racing, no wheel sucking, just a fun social
ride.
Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides,
mirrors recommended, headphones
forbidden.
