Thank you to the GCC members who participated in the Homecoming Parade.  It was grand fun to ride our bikes down University AVenue, and we had an unexpected surprise when a 12 piece marching band showed up to provide both the bikes and the pedestrians with excellent marching music.

 

The Bicycle and Pedestrian advisory board sponsored the "unit" in the parade.  We had bicycles and pedestrians (walkers) and we were all given T-shirts proclaiming "walk, bike, run"    What fun!

 

The 12 piece band, the "Radical Ruckus"  had a drum section (that provided pedestrian percussion) and a brass section that jammed an up tempo beat that inspired marching.  The band also had an accordian and a violin.
