I am aware of the Kickstand's work, but was interested in trying to locate someone to present a

basic bike maintenance and repair class for a group at one of the local homeless temporary residential

programs.*  The group would probably be about ten persons but could be as many as twenty.

My assumption is that the class would be three to four hours to cover the very basics of

correct bike "sizing", necessary cleaning and lubrication, tire change and flat repair, visual

inspection, brake adjustment and the basic requirements for legal street riding.

Current class schedule is up for negotiation, but Saturday October 16th, 1300 - 1600 looks optimal.

  Any interest out there?

There was a posting some months ago from a bike shop mechanic between gigs...

*Why do I not give the class myself?  Because, even though I took the basic class myself,

every part I "fix" tends to fall off the bike when I am going down a steep hill.  Must be bad parts.
