Hey guys
Where on the GHT
have there been gator sightings? I am curious especially considering
that R2R is this coming Sat. and for those planning on doing the century,
the last 7 miles or so is getting on the GHT off of Angle Rd and going back
into Boulware. Please advise.
Thanks,
Allen

I
encountered a gator last week on the GHT (around 10:00 am). The gator
raised its head and hissed at me. No tire biting but it certainly did
surprise me and I can easily imagine falling under similar circumstances if
riding at night.

What I got out of
paper story is dude riding 9pm, alligator gets scared and moves as he rides
by. He gets scared (understandably), and crashes.
Riding at 9pm out there,
could happen with almost any animal in path.

Alligator on the GHT
All:
Does anyone (anyone at all) have any
factual information about the alleged alligator incident on the
Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail on Sunday, as reported in the SUN this
morning? It seems to be shrouded in mystery, but if real it is of
considerable importance to the Trail.
Please
send any hard information my way.
Thanks,
George Edwards, Captain
