Saturday January 21 Strays will meet at Velvet Yate's home south of Lacrosse for a 35 mile ride to the Worthington Springs and Alachua area.
 
Meet at Velvet Yates home at 9:15 am for a 9:30 departure.
 
Ride speed range 6 - 28 mph, varying with terrain.
 
Average speed in recent times has typically been approaching 14 mph. This ride is pretty flat.
 
Their will be a convenience store / rest room opportunity about every 10 miles.
 
No pace lines, no wheel sucking, no racing, just a fun social ride.
 
Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones forbidden.
 
Safety protocols are always observed on Strays rides. 
If you have not ridden with the Strays before, please read this.
  
After the ride the group will converge back at Velvets home to consume barbecue. Bring $5 in cash if you wish to participate in the meal. Also bring any beverages that you would like to consume.
 
If you want to make the ride, but not participate in the post ride meal, that's fine too, come out and ride anyway.

This ride will start from the home of Velvet Yates.
 
To get to Velvets place, go north on 121 (NW 34th St.) past 441 for 6.7 miles. A yellow diamond shaped sign will appear announcing the intersection with NW 156th Ave. and there will be a produce stand on the left. Turn right (east) on to  340 (NW 156th Ave.), continue on 340 for 3/4 mile. The house will be on the right (3425 NW 156th Ave).
Park in the dirt driveway or front yard, but please be careful not to run over the little sticks lining the driveway (supporting baby trees).
