Morning dew adorns a spider  web along the Gainesville Hawthorne Trail
 
Saturday March 4,  Strays will ride from the dirt lot at Boulware Springs for a 32 -33 mile ride on Kincaid Rd to the western edge of Newnans Lake and then clockwise around the lake, passing thru Windsor and Rochelle and returning to Boulware via the GH Trail. We may also visit Owens Illinois park if the group is interested.  
 
Arrive at 10 am for a 10:15 start.
 
Speeds 6 - 28 mph, depending on terrain. Average speed has typically been 13 mph in recent times. This ride is mostly flat, other than a few hills at the beginning on Kincaid Rd.
 
There will be an official convenience store / rest room stop at Tim's Fast Nickel at about the 20 mile point.
 
Post ride there will be no restaurant visit this time, since most of the Strays will be heading to the Annual Meeting to eat mass quantities in the early evening.
 
Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones forbidden.

For those that have not been to the Gainesville Hawthorne Trail before.
 
Go east on University Avenue (26) past Waldo Road (24), soon (about a quarter mile) the road will Y, take the right road (20), follow this for one block and turn right on SE 15th st. Follow SE 15th st south for 2 miles. Pass the first entrance to the Gainesville Hawthorne Trail, the next entrance on your right will be the dirt lot at Boulware Springs.. There are rest rooms at Boulware Springs.
