Description: The Florida Federation of Garden Clubs presents “Florida Friendly Landscaping”. The focus of the day will be on Florida “Water-Friendly” Living. Fanning Springs is at the center of three bike trails going south to Chiefland, west to Cross City, and east to Trenton. Meet at 9:45 am (the same time that the Pedalers are meeting) in the parking lot, close to the rest room location.  We'll leave at 10am to bike to Chiefland.  This is about a 20 mile roundtrip ride.  After returning, we will have the option of riding another 20 miles roundtrip to Cross City. Expect a speed of about 16-17 mph.

To get there, take SR 26 (University Ave/Newberry Road) westbound. At the town of Fanning Springs, as I recall, the park is well marked. It is about a 45 minute drive from the Oaks Mall to Fanning Springs State Park.
