Anyone looking for an easy/ moderate ride Sat is invited to meet at the Millenium Bank parking lot in ALACHUA, SATURDAY 7:00 am for a ride in support of Perry McGriff.

Perry’s bike team has organized a short ride = 23 miles to Gilchrist County to a “mover and shaker” pancake breakfast. There will be a crowd of McGriff supporters there – not necessarily cyclists. Enjoy the breakfast and then ride back or, there will be cars available for those who would prefer to be transported.

The website is full of interesting information in addition to the bike team.  If you don’t know about Perry and his campaign for state Senate this is the place to look!  Perry’s impressive accomplishments and qualifications are listed.  Specific to cycling he has been a long time supporter of Team Florida through his State Farm insurance agency as well as the initiator of the trans-America Five Points of Life charity ride.  Those inclined to support him can make a difference by joining the team and displaying support by wearing the McGriff jersey.
