Mike McColley, who lives near where the ride will be Saturday send me info on where that new rail trail is located in relation to the ride I posted. It apparently intersects the ride route in a few places. I thought that instead of riding a segment of SR 100 from Lake Geneva to Putnam Hall, we’d revise the route to follow the new rail trail that runs off of the road, but in a somewhat winding manner but ending up at the same place where we turn in Putnam Hall to head back to Melrose. It adds a couple of miles to the total route, so it is not 37 miles if you don’t do the option loop at the end of the ride. It is likely more scenic and obviously less traffic, so I revised the ride map and the new link is below. Mike has ridden all the roads out there so hopefully he will be able to join us Saturday, which he is hoping to do and we’ll have one veteran of those roads with us.
