Hi GCC riders,
I'm selling a set of 50mm carbon tubular wheels. This is a great wheelset, I'm only selling it because I upgraded.Marty McCroryPrice: $325 for the set with wheel cover, $300 without wheel cover.
If you're a TT specialist or triathlete, you'll appreciate the aero rims and the disc cover for extra aerodynamics. If you're a road rider, the relatively light and solid 50mm rims would make great crit wheels or sweet all-around racing wheels. Whatever kind of riding you do, they're fast, light, and they'll make a great addition to your race bike for the 2010 race season.Includes:- Front 50mm carbon tubular wheel (carbon rim, 20 bladed spokes, Vuelta hub)- Rear 50mm carbon tubular wheel (carbon rim, 24 bladed spokes, Vuelta hub)- Rear disc cover (from wheelbuilder.com, custom cut, secured with electrical tape, does not include plastic mounting screws)- Skewers (2)- Brake pads (4 pads)Pictures:The wheelset is generally in very good condition. The rims have only been glued once, and the wheels have *never* been crashed, flatted or dropped. I am the first owner. I have only used these wheels for racing in time trials and triathlons. The wheels have approximately 450 miles on them. I estimate the weight of the set at 1500g.The wheelcover is functional, but shows some signs of wear, including scratches on the drive side from the rear derailleur (visible in the picture) and a section that has been torn off near the valve stem (visible in the picture). This happened soon after I got the wheels (my fault) and I've made do by covering the hole with electrical tape. The cover is still completely functional in spite of this wear.Price ($325) includes personal delivery to anywhere in the Gainesville area at your convenience. If you've never used tubular wheels before, I'll even show you how to glue them up! If you're not interested in the wheel cover, I'll take it off for you and you save $25 (total price would be $300). I accept cash, money orders, PayPal and (at my discretion) personal checks. If you'd like me to ship the wheels, I can arrange that, but you'll have to pay the actual shipping cost. Let me know where you'd like to ship the wheels and I'll send you an invoice for the shipping cost.Let me know if you have any questions about the wheels. You'll definitely enjoy these wheels, I'm sad to see them go!Pictures:
