The Saddle Tramps will ride Wednesday October 5th, from the Williston Road PublixWe will ride southwest on Williston Rd to SW 85th Ave, then west to SW 75th street, where we will go north to Archer Rd, then ride southwest to Archer on SR24 (Archer Road), turn south onto 27/41 and ride a few blocks to CR346, where we turn east and ride to CR346A and take that north and then east back to Williston Rd, which we will take north back to the Publix.

This is a ~30 mile ride with mostly smooth roads and no significant hills.  Restrooms are available at the Publix and at the rest stop in Archer.  Meet at 8:00AM for a departure at 8:15AM.

Expect level-ground pedaling speeds between 13-17 mph, and an average speed of 13-15 mph on this relatively flat route.  This is a no-drop friendly ride; nobody needs to stress themselves to keep up with the leader or faster riders, because we will stop and wait for everyone to regroup at each major turn.  Helmets are required, suntan lotion is recommended, as many parts of this ride are in sunny open areas.

The Williston Road Publix is located at the intersection of 34th Street and Williston Road.  If you drive to the ride, please park on the 34th Street side of the parking lot well away from the Publix entrance.  Restrooms and water are available at the store after 7:00AM, and a McDonalds is adjacent for simulated breakfast food.

If you would like to receive a preview map of the ride, or a Garmin .tcx file of the route, please email Ed at the address below.

This ride will be lead by Ed Gardner, due to our fearless leader, Melinda Koken, still wandering around in the rain somewhere in Virginia, or Maryland, or Delaware, actual location unknown.
