Thanks to all for your responses to the pink
ribbon jersey email sent last night with Roger's help. Some of you
wanted to see photos of the jersey and get more information about the
research group to which the proceeds of the sale are currently going, the
CSCRB. Just go to these links/websites below.
http://milesforpink.blogspot.com/ this was
set up by a fellow, Rob R., who plans to do a Continental Divide tour
next June in honor of his wife, who has had breast cancer...and he'll be
wearing the pink ribbon jersey.
www.cscrb.org
takes you to the CSCRB's website: Collaboration of Scientists for Critical
Research in Biomedicine, at U.F.
I have to place this next order by Thursday August 5, in order to be
assured of having it by the end of September. David G.wants a jersey
to wear to the MS 150 in Jax on October 2, in honor of his mother who now
has metastatic breast cancer. And of course if you order this time
around, you'll have yours to wear during October/breast cancer awareness
month............whether you are biking or walking during one of the many
events.
The jerseys have literally been sent and worn all over the world,
to include RAGBRAI in summers past and again this past
month......and on the Bike Florida tours. The design- in large part
credited to one of our GCC members, Matt- is
copyrighted. Sheryl Crow, for you fans, has one of the jerseys.
For more information please contact me. Sizes do run small, and
most folks get one size larger than they normally wear. You can see
sizing charts on the Louis Garneau website.
Prices are : $65 for women's and men's short sleeved, $60 for
women's sleeveless, plus $5 shipping per jersey if needed. Please
make out checks to Barb Thomas and mail to me at
3422 NW 27th place
Gainesville, Fl. 32605
I will be placing the order on Thursday August 5th.
