On Saturday Oct 25 , Strays will ride 29 - 33  miles on the Jax Balwin Rail Trail. This ride may include a couple of short side trips to look at special sights along the way.
 
Arrive at the Brandy Branch Road Trailhead  on 121, 2 miles west of Baldwin, at 9:45 for a 10 am departure.
 
  Average speed has typically been 12 - 14 mph in recent times. This ride is quite flat.
 
There will be at least one convenience store / rest room stop during the ride, and possibly more should it be needed.
 
Post ride the hungry will head to Everybody's Restaurant in Baldwin. CASH ONLY, credit cards not accepted.
 
No pace lines, no racing, no wheel sucking, just a fun social ride.
 
 Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones forbidden.

       Directions from Gainesville:
 
The best way to the trail head is to go up 301 from Gainesville. It will pass under I-10 and connect with US 90. Go west (left) on US 90 for 2 miles until you come to Brandy Branch Road (121). Go north (right) on 121 for about a quarter mile. The trailhead parking lot will be on your right. This end of the trail has porta-potties. Driving distance from Gainesville is about 50 miles.
