Saturday April 22, Strays will depart from the grass parking
lot
at the intersection of 234 (Angle Road) and the Gainesville Hawthorne
Trail, for
a 32 mile ride through Phifer, across the River Styx,
through
Evinston, McIntosh, and Micanopy.
Arrive at 8:45 am for a 9
am start.
Speeds 6 - 28 mph, depending on terrain.
Average
speed has typically been 13 mph in recent times.
This
ride is mostly flat.
There will be convenience store / rest room stops in McIntosh and
Micanopy.
No pacelines, no racing, no wheel sucking, just a fun social
ride.
Post ride, the interested and hungry, will head to the Boulware
Springs end of the Gainesville Hawthorne Trail to check out the Earth
Day
festivities and refreshments..
Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides,
mirrors
recommended, headphones forbidden. If you haven't been on a ride with the Strays before,

Go east out of Gainesville on 20, turn right on 2082 soon after
crossing
the Paynes Prairie bridge (where Kates Fish Camp is), proceed 1.25 miles to
234
(Angle Road). The parking lot is on the right, at the wooden posts. There
is a
rest room about a quarter mile east (left) on the Gainesville Hawthorne
Trail
from the parking area, if needed.
Sunday April 23, Strays will ride from the Progress
Park
area, near Alachua, for an ON Road ride of approx. 30 miles. Watch your
