Hello fellow GCC folks. As many of you know, the county has a right-of-way (but no funds) for a road between 39th Ave (at 83rd St) and Millhopper Rd (at 88th St). As an lower-cost alternative, the county's transportation team is proposing a bicycle/pedestrian path, which could be used for recreational and non-motorized commuting purposes.

In 2009, a group of GCC folks cycled and hiked on the proposed greenway, with the county's permission. Last February, the project became active again, and Jim Funk, Tony Ross, and I accompanied parks personnel on another excursion in the proposed trail area. This is a beautiful place, so it's great that the county is seriously considering a bicycle trail.
