The annual Homeless Breakfast on the Plaza will be Thursday, Oct 7 starting at 8 a.m. at the Downtown Community Plaza (the Bo Diddley Plaza). Everyone is welcome and various social service agencies will be there.

I will be there repairing bikes for the homeless as part of The Kickstand community bike project and I can use some help. You don't have to know anything about fixing bikes, you can be the greeter. If you can pump up bike tirers, that would be the biggest help.

Please let me know if you can help, if even for an hour. And you get a good free breakfast!

You can also get your blood pressure checked, find out about services for homeless and low income people and get free pens, keychains and notepads from various agencies.
