Special Note Concerning Future High Bee Rides Posted By Me

In an effort to keep to everyone happy about High Bees rides posted by me, kindly understand that those riding with us rightfully expect that the rides will be maintained at a 16-17 mph pace.  Therefore, in all of my future online GCC ride postings, please expect to see this reminder.  Further, I will ask those present before the ride starts if they anticipate riding in excess of the 16-17 mph pace.  For those that do, kindly plan to leave just before the main group does.  Those of us remaining will start and maintain our ride at the posted 16-17 mph pace.  Thank you for your understanding.

This week’s ride info:

Day: Saturday, September 27th

Time: 8:00am meeting, 8:15 departure

Meeting Place: Chevron Station, on the corner of NW 43rd St and NW 53rd Ave.

Route and Mileage: We will do the Haile Ride this Saturday, going out Millhopper Road to 241, south the 32nd Ave, north to 46th Ave, north on CR 235 to 78th Ave, west to 27/41, north to 94th Ave, east to 241, south to Millhopper Rd and east to point of beginning. I don’t know of a convenience store along this route for our stop unless that small old one we’ve stopped at before on 27/41 is along that short stretch we do on 27/41 on this ride. If not, we’ll stop somewhere along the road in a shady spot, perhaps along 78th Ave.

Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 16-17 MPH; a little faster based on terrain and slower on climbs. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed.

If you are new to GCC and are looking for a weekly ride with a moderate pace and moderate distance, please feel free to join us.

Thanks,

Mike
