The second annual
8 Hours of Labor, an endurance bicycle event, is
scheduled for Sunday, September 6 at the San
Felasco
Hammock Preserve State Park. To volunteer, please e-mail Dave Baggaley
at
baggers@xxxxxxx (do not reply to
this
message). Dave is coordinating shifts for the following
positions:
1) Gate monitors (hour shifts between 6 AM - 11 AM). You greet people and collect admission monies from participants and spectators. 2) Horse marshals (4-hour shifts between 10 AM - 6 PM). You monitor a horse/bike crossing, coordinating any traffic between horses and bikes. This is a great spot to watch the cyclists come by. 3) Clean-up crew after the event (6 PM. - 8 PM). You cycle the course (or ride in an ATV), picking up signs and trash. There will be a Friends of San Felasco Citizen Support
Organization
(CSO) tent set up at the Start/Finish area, so you will have a home base to
put
your stuff, right at the heart of the action.
To volunteer, please e-mail Dave Baggaley at baggers@xxxxxxx and let him know what position you would like, the time you are available, and your cell phone number. We greatly
appreciate
your help in building on the success of last year's event.
