Dear Friends,

I just want to share my appreciation for all of you have shown such wonderful support for us new & experienced Randonneurs. You have made this experience all the more wonderful. I’d especially like to say thank you to the Wilsons & GGC for introducing and allowing us the opportunity to do these tours and for supporting us along the way. The experience of riding a brevet is invaluable and immeasurable, even more so the longer the distance.

The internal journey that this recent brevet has taken me on has matched the external one in a profound way; I am truly blessed for this.

The friendships that one develops on tour are similar to the relationships one cultivates while camping; it either makes or breaks it as it does you as a person. I'm thankful because I believe I have developed some powerful friendships this weekend that I anticipate will last a life time.

After yesterday’s 400k tour I can certainly understand why so many cyclists do the tours year after year and why many don’t. The tour is life a changing experience that is worth every pedal stroke but nothing worth doing comes easy does it? I have come to believe that every one of us at any age has the ability to do these tours; they just have to want to – a metaphor for life. I would encourage anyone who is considering this journey to do it with an open mind and a receptive heart and offer my full support.

Thanks again!

Ride within yourself,

Jo
