Dear Friends:

Tomorrow morning the EZ Riders will meet at the Fanning Springs Trailhead of the Nature Coast Trail, and ride South to Chiefland and then explore the new extension to Manatee Springs State Park. We know nothing about this long-planned extension other than it is reported to be open. It may not be something we want to ride, but we will give it a good look first. We are not even quite sure where the connection is, other than the extension is said to parallel SR 320. Since the Trail crosses that highway, it would be a good place to start looking.

We will depart the Trailhead at 8:00 AM, and return there by Noon for lunch at Huckleberry's BBQ. Bring water, bug spray, sunscreen, whatever. It is expected to be HOT.

Find the Fanning Springs Trailhead on US 19/98 in Fanning Springs, at the point where the Trail crosses US 19/98, just past the end of SR 26.
