FIRST OF
ALL - I sent the email to you
only, which makes the fact that you CC the group not
very classy.
Secondly, it goes without saying that running a stop
sign ANYWHERE can result in a ticket - it's not the first time we hear that
about the Hawthorne Trail either. Your email came out of nowhere and it
simply appeared to overstate the obvious.
So, back to my original
point - if you indicate:
"at any time
over the next many months, you
should not be surprised to
be the recipient of a
very expensive traffic citation for your moving
violation.
I doubt you would get away with only a
warning."
It begs the question - what is so distinct about
the "next many months"? why say "very expensive", have the fines changed?
finally, if you doubt they wouldn't get away with a warning - it implies
that was the norm and thus, did you hear something from the police
department that tells you their approach is changing?
Someone please
tell me what is going in the listserv world lately - first TVM, now this?
Who are these people?!
Lou

Nope, it is all there. Perhaps there were too many words. Here
is a
briefer version: Run a stop sign on the GHT, expect an expensive
ticket.
You are welcome.
Cheers,
George

George,
you should explain yourself a little better. The email sounds like
you're giving us half the story.
Read it again, you'll see what I mean.

Dear Friends:
If you fail to stop at any stop sign on the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail
at any time over the next many months, you should not be surprised to
be
the recipient of a very expensive traffic citation for your moving
violation. I doubt you would get away with only a warning.
George
