Hi all,

The overwhelming response here seems to be that the newsletter should become an online edition. I agree!

However, remember, you are only getting responses from members that utilize the online media effectively. I would:

1) Publish at least one more printed-and-mailed version in which you:
        a) announce the intention to change to online publishing.
        b) give the snail mailers a way to cast their votes for this change.
        c) give explicit instructions for acquiring the online version.
        d) place the current publication out there for review.

2) Give ALL members a way to opt out of online publication and
                1. Receive it via postal (snail) mail.
                2. Receive it via e-mail (pdf).

The annual meeting would have been the best place to conduct this business. Also, I may be presuming too much that there are still folks not acquainted with technology. The holder of the club database is more likely to know how many members show e-mail and online access.

This is a good idea. I would also suggest that if possible, there to be a "digest" format for recieving posts to the listserv. I am a member of several other listservs offering this option. It condenses things and complies all of the individual postings into a message recieved once a day.
