It seems a good way to lose a spoon is to bring it to a GCC picnic!  The club has a very extensive collection of serving utensils, so bringing a spoon is sort of like bringing coals to Newcastle (to use an old phrase).  It’s also real easy for it to get mixed in with the club collection.
