The Hokey Pokey ride group will ride Cross Creek Road and Angle Road, for a total trip of 22 miles.  Riders should meet at Rochelle on Saturday, Jan. 7 at 9:00 a.m. for an 9:15 ride start.

This ride will be on roads that have automobile traffic, but these are quiet roads, especially on Saturday morning.

The ride will start in Rochelle, and go east on the Gainesville Hawthorne Trail.   We will turn right (south) onto Country Road 325, and then right on CR 346, stopping at the River Styx.  Last time we stopped at the River Styx, we were entertained by 7 or 8 baby alligators.  We will continue on CR 346 to US 441 (Micanopy) and then turn right (north) on CR 234 (Angle Road) where we will stop to visit Oak Ridge Cemetary and Governor Madison Starke Perry, and then back to Rochelle

Everyone is welcome to come on this ride (of course, you must wear a bike helmet).  Don't worry about being slow, no one is slower than me and we never leave anyone behind.

The ride will be chaperoned by the ride leader who will ride at the back of the group to make sure no one gets lost.  The ride leader is also a bicycle mechanic who can help fix flat tires and help with any other mechanical problems.

Directions to Rochelle:   Go east on University Avenue, go over Waldo Road.  About 1/4 mile east of Waldo Road, take the right fork in the road, which is State Road 20.  Go about 5 miles east on SR 20, and cross the bridge over Prairie Creek.  About 1/4 mile past the bridge, turn right onto County Road 2082.  about 1/2 mile, the Rochelle parking lot will be on the right, at the intersection of CR 2082 and CR 234.
