The Saddle
Tramps will ride
Sunday, September
11th
from
Traxler on parts of the North
end of the
Santa Fe
Century. The
meeting site can be reached by taking I-75 to Exit 404, where you'll find
a
Florida Welcome
Center and Service Station immediately as you
exit the Interstate on C.R. 236. Park at the northeast end of the
empty parking
lot north of the Welcome Center, and meet there
at 7:45 a.m. for an 8:00 a.m. departure.
This is the most
scenic part of the Santa Fe ride, which is on Saturday of the GCC Festival
weekend. If Fairlie is correct and the bridge
has been
rebuilt, it will be approximately
41
miles. Otherwise, expect an additional
5 mile detour. Maps are available on the GCC
website: Click on "Maps"--(surprise!).
If you
would like to carpool from Gainesville to save the cost of gas, I will be
at the Hague park on Hwy 441 at 7:20 a.m. and can
take 3 to 5 people and their bikes. PLEASE call and let me
know if you'll be riding with me, so that I can install my bike rack if
necessary.
