The Hokey Pokey group will meet at Rochelle, to ride on the Gainesville Hawthorne Trail to Hawthorne, an 18 mile ride. Riders should meet at Rochelle parking lot next to the GH Trail at 8:15 for an 8:30 start time.

The Gainesville Hawthorne Trail is a paved rail trail, only bikes and hikers, no cars. The trail is very safe, and almost impossible to get lost. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Everyone is welcome is come on this ride (of course, you must wear a bike helmet). Don't worry about being slow, no one is slower than me and we never leave anyone behind.

The ride will be chaperoned by the ride leader who will ride at the back of the group to make sure no one gets lost. The ride leader is also a bicycle mechanic who can help fix flat tires and help with any other mechanical problems.

Directions to Rochelle: Go east on University Avenue, go over Waldo Road. About 1/4 mile east of Waldo Road, take the right fork in the road, which is State Road 20. Go about 5 miles east on SR 20, and cross the bridge over Prairie Creek. About 1/4 mile past the bridge, turn right onto County Road 2082. about 1/2 mile, the Rochelle parking lot will be on the right, at the intersection of CR 2082 and CR 234.
