Hey team,

I think Phil sent his e-mail a bit prematurely.  We have yet to begin discussing what all of our options may be, and I'm not sure that we're fully aware of what they are at this point.  Though the coaching position has proven to be a crucial component of our team, we certainly don't need to rush into making a decision just to fill the vacancy for this semester.  
Steve would love to help out in any means necessary in the interim period, but he is not interested in the paid coaching position.  Rebecca is still a member, as well as a top rider, of our team and her years of experience and knowledge will not disappear while we determine what our options are.  
Whoever is hired for the position of team coach will be hired to begin in either the upcoming summer or fall.  The training for the remainder of the road racing season is exactly the same as last year and it will be copied and e-mailed from the listserv archives and tweaked to fit this years racing schedule.  No one has directly expressed interest or contacted me about their interest in becoming the next Team Florida coach, so I see no need to make a hasty decision when there are so many variables involved.  Please don't clog up the listserv with opinions, it would be best just to e-mail me and I will pass along your ideas to the other officers.
