To all LoBees and those that would like to ride with the LoBees:

 

We will meet Sunday, August 19^th at the parking lot across the street from Conestoga’s Restaurant on Main Street, in downtown Alachua at 8:00am leaving on the ride at 8:15am.

 

Please see the map below which is for the Alachua ride, but we will follow the following route:

From downtown Alachua go north on CR 241 (some nice hills a couple of miles out of Alachua) to CR 18 in Providence. >From there, turning east on CR 18 to Worthington Springs where we will make a pit stop at the convenience store (I forgot the name of it, but there is only one). From there we’ll ride south on CR 239 to Santa Fe where the road forks and we’ll pick up SR 121 to Lacrosse. In Lacrosse we’ll turn southwest on CR 235 which heads back to Alachua.

 

I am estimating the ride will be about 32 miles or so.

 

Please reply by e-mail if you will be riding on Sunday, so we’ll know how many we’ll have and who is planning to be there so we don’t leave without you.

 

We had a good ride this past Sunday. There were eight riders that showed up. Anyone looking for a good ride at about a 15-16 MPH average pace, we will welcome you to join us. No one is dropped and we regroup at all turns. If you are new to GCC and looking for a Sunday ride, this is a friendly ride with some chatter and not a race.
