This week’s ride info:

Day: Saturday, March 7^th

Time: 9:00am meeting, 9:15 departure

Meeting Place: Micanopy (We’ll meet in the downtown area where all the old antique shops are located)

Route and Mileage: We’ll ride south from Micanopy on CR 234 to Shiloh, east on Dungarvin Rd (series of hills here) to Orange Lake; go north on 441 to the Boardman area and go out onto the Boardman Peninsula (along Orange Lake and see the banana trees, etc that grow down there). From there we’ll turn back and go to Evinston, then onto CR 346 to return to Micanopy. We’ll probably do our rest stop in Macintosh before we get to Boardman. I’m ball parking it at around 35 miles or so; but don’t hold me to it!!

Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 16-17 MPH; a little faster based on terrain (and wind as we found out last weekend!!) and slower on climbs. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed.
