(average
is 4.4-5.0) Hi, Cyclists...above are my numbers within the first 24 hours of my hospital adventure. NOTE: without statin medication, my 2009 numbers are better than the 2007 numbers. On paper, I look like I should live to 100 and be able to cycle at 20 mph the rest of my life. I do everything I should be doing...diet, portion control, exercise, etc. So, what caused my circumflex arterial adventure? From my cardio. doc's comments and some intensive online research...1) it just happened...shit happens, 2) my recurrent sinus infection which has been going on for years and I had one (even though I had been on antibiotics for 36 hours) in the days before my attack, 3) high iron levels...men tend to have more heart attacks than women...and there seems to be a connection with higher iron levels in men....I had been taking ferrous gluconate 6.75g every other day...bacteria need iron to grow. I may have inadvertently set up a nice situation to be taken out by microbes. I'm doing well and continuing to learn about this. I hope you do not mind me sending this...I'm a teacher...I can't help it...if I save somebody by telling my story...it will be worth it.. Soon, I'll have the video CD of my beating heart as the dye pulse cleared the circumflex artery...seeing your life returned to you was amazing.. Thanks for Jonathan's great words...you all ride safe on Saturday and always. Bob Howland --- On Wed, 6/24/09, JONES,JONATHAN D <jjones2@xxxxxxx> wrote:
