At the risk of being accused of plagiarism, I’m going to post the same ride that Ed Gardner posted for the B-17’s but with a few changes. Anyway, copying is the best form of compliment.

The Full Route:  Will start from the Jonesville Steeplechase Publix, going south on SW 143rd Street, then turning west onto SW 15th Ave and riding to CR241 and taking it south to SW 46th Ave, which we will take west to CR337 and turn north to go to SR26 (Newberry Rd), pausing for the rest stop in Newberry. Then resume going west on SR26 to CR337 which turns north and then jogs several times until it "T"s into CR340, which we will take east to US27/41, jogging north to NW 94th Ave which we will take east to CR241S and turn south to return to the Steeplechase Publix.

The Time:  Meet at 9:15 AM, ride at 9:30AM, Saturday, December 10th.  I thought if we started 15 minutes after the B-17s we could see how far we had to go to catch up with them; but with colder weather forecast, I think a little later start will make for an more enjoyable  ride.

The Ride:  This is a relatively easy ride of ~44 miles, of mostly flat roads with a few moderate hills.  Expect an average ride speed of 18-19 mph.

The Rest Stop:  Will be in Newberry, at approximately 20 miles at a convenience store/gas station with restrooms.

The Start Point: The Jonesville Steeplechase Publix is located on the west side of town at the intersection of CR 241S and Newberry Road; Newberry Road has bike lanes from Parker Road westward; CR 241S has bike lanes from Newberry Road northward.  If you drive, please park on the southmost (Newberry Rd) side of the parking lot well away from the Publix store entrance.

Weather:  It is going to be cold on Saturday morning so that’s why we are starting at 9:30 am.
