apologies for poor typing... all ten of my digits are compromised. i
can't thank you all for the many wishes and personal attention. i am also responding via e-mail because it is difficult to use the phone. i have always said that there are more good people than bad. three people when above and beyond today, and they deserve praise: 1) scott e: this man was willing to do whatever it takes for me but he did not have to, because; 2) alex price: this man dropped everything, including family, to arrive on scene just minutes behind EMS. furthermore, he acquired and paid for the medical supplies i would need until i could see a doctor (long story). he also aquired and paid for other items of luxury that will come in handy the next few days. keep in mind: alex has not ridden in a year or two, and lastly; 3) alexis d: this sweatheart came over on her own goodwill, after checking Shands first, and patched me up... probably spending 3 hours of her time to make sure i had the best care w/o spending all night in the ER. she tops the list. she didn't just do a once over - she went out for more supplies all because i was low. NOTE: this girl has likewise been riding infrequently the past few years. so thank you. i am ok, but i won't be able to ride for a few days because: 1) all of my fingers are compromised, and if my hands are blue today... then they will be painful, if not useless, tomorrow; 2) my bike is a wreck... brand-new CXP33 destroyed... RH Rival shifter probably toast. i ask for charity if any bike shop or individual would like to help me get her back on the road. i would not ask if i could perform the work myself, but i cannot perform the simplest of tasks. justin with supercool (thank you) examined the bike and identified things i would not have seen for days... as i would have just let it sit until i could fix it. let me know if anyone would like to help me get back into the show. thank you all again. mk
