You're invited to join Tony and Lee this Sunday December 18 to cycle the new unpaved county trail between Millhopper Rd and 39th Ave. Meet: Meet at the Ross residence at
9:00 AM,
depart at 9:15 AM, and then cycle on Millhopper Rd to the trailhead
(about
a mile). Or, you join
us
at 9:30 A.M. at the Millhopper Rd trailhead (directions
below).
Enjoy: This
trail, which goes through a beautiful wooded area, is suitable for
mountain
bikes and cyclocross bikes. The trail features a figure-8 loop of
about 2
miles. It's non-technical, but does include one challenging hill.
We'll do
several loops - faster riders may do a number of loops... and who knows...
perhaps an impromptu race may occur. (You could also ride your road
bike
to the trailhead, lock it there, and then hike the
trail.)
Considerations:
There are no facilities on the trail. Please bring water. Helmets are
mandatory.

Ross
residence, please email me. Directions to Millhopper Rd trailhead: From the
Chevron at the corner of 43rd and Millhopper Rd, go west on
Millhopper
Rd about 3.5 miles to 88th ST, and then turn left on 88th ST. The
pavement ends at the trailhead. There is very limited parking at the
trailhead (space for couple of cars). If you plan to meet at our
house, an
RSVP would be appreciated, so we'll know how many cars to expect. Hope to
