Trish,

I don't think it was meant that parking should be an "issue". More that it's a great opportunity for those who don't live downtown to participate and become interactive with the community hub that houses our County and City meetings and more. I know that it is for me since I live at the periphery of the county and I have learned a lot about getting around downtown by attending these meetings.

Sincerely,

Carol Short

Brophys Pub is located in the SW Downtown Parking Garage which is 5 decks so I do not think finding a parking space will be an issue.

Subject: GCCMail: Commuter Group Meeting

Members of the Club,

The next meeting of the Commuter Group will take place on Wednesday, March 9th at 7:00 p.m.  We have reserved Brophy's Irish Pub, 60 SW 2nd St, locally owned by a long-time supporter of progressive development and infrastructure.  The establishment is no smoking, noise free, and will set up an area for our meeting.  Since they do not serve food, an anonymous club member is donating substantial hors-d-oeuvres (some veggie, doubtful any vegan), and I can recommend downtown dining to anyone wishing a pre-dinner.  Paramount is high-end and reliable, Flaco's is home-cooked Latin, affordable.

Twenty people attended our last meeting.  Looking forward to more.

Agenda forthcoming from Chair Jim Funk.

This will be great practice for finding a parking spot downtown during the County and City meetings, and will give our Mid-towners and East-enders a little change of venue.

Regards,

James Thompson
Advocacy Director
