8th: The LoBees will join Barb Willis’ Pink
Ribbon Ride to promote Breast Cancer Awareness month. MEET: The Walgreens
drug store in Alachua at the intersection of 441 and Main Street.
TIME: Meet at
8:15 am for roll-out at 8:30 am PARK: Please park
only in the spaces along the northeast corner of the parking
lot. ROUTE
& MILEAGE: Total route mileage is 60 miles with
rest stops at Miles 25 and 45. We will head north on 241, ride through
Providence and visit the beautiful northern portion of the Santa Fe Century
route before heading back to Alachua. This route features the famous Mebane
Hill, but is otherwise relatively tame. There will be an alternate route of
31 miles (rest stop at Mile 16) available for those who need to
finish earlier. Maps will be provided at the start of the ride. This
is a B-level ride with an average ride speed of 14 - 15
mph. Expect about 30 miles
at about 15 MPH on the flats.
As always: helmets are mandatory, mirrors are
recommended. LoBees will obey all

Chevron
station on the corner of NW 43rd St and
53rd Ave. TIME: Meet at 8:00 AM for a 8:10
departure. PARK: In the
Chevron station, along NW 43rd St. Start at the north end
and work south. Do not park in the slots alongside the station or
along NW 53rd Ave. DO NOT use the business lots east of the
Chevron on Saturdays. Please watch where you are standing; do not
block the flow of traffic going to the pumps. PLAN: We will ride a 30 loop
through Hague going east on 156th Ave. to Racetrack Rd. &
home via 53rd Ave.
NOTE: For those wishing a shorter ride I will be taking a 20 mile
loop going home via 121 (for a previous commitment). Tim VanSusteren
will lead the 30 version. Expect about 30 miles
at about 15 MPH on the flats.
