Saturday April 15, Strays will depart from Alachua for a 35 mile ride in to the northwestern portion of Alachua county, including High Springs, and Traxler. This ride will include some roads that most recent Strays have never seen, some of which are part of the Santa Fe Century.

Arrive at the Conestoga Restaurant parking lot at 8:45 am for a 9 am start

Speeds 6 - 28 mph, depending on terrain. Average speed has typically been 13 mph in recent times. This ride is mostly flat, but there are about a half dozen moderate hills.

There will be a convenience store / rest room stop at about the mid point in Traxler.

No pacelines, no racing, no wheel sucking, just a fun social ride.

Post ride the hungry will head for a restaurant, probably Conestoga.

Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones forbidden.

If you haven't been on a ride with the Strays before,
please read this information on Safety Protocols.:

To get to Conestogas in Alachua:
From Gainesville go north on 441  from NW 43rd st. approximately 8 miles to the intersection of 241/235, there is a light at this intersection. Pass thru this intersection to the next light and take a left. This puts you on NW 141 st, which is main street beautiful downtown Alachua (pronounced 'Uh Latch oo Way'). Proceed south on NW 141 st until you see  the Conestoga Restaurant on your right in about a quarter mile.  Turn left in to the parking lot on your left. Park in the spaces furthest away from the restaurant, along the east edge of the lot so as not to interfere with regular downtown business.
