The Friends of San Felasco Citizen Support Organization (CSO) invites you to remember Brian McAllister. Brian, who was involved with the trails at San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park and with the annual Tour de Felasco, passed away July 12, 2009. In remembrance, a memorial plaque on a stone has been placed within the park, and a brief dedication service is planned.
 
What: Dedication of memorial for Brian McAllister
Date: Sunday June 6th
Location: The memorial site is within the park at an area known as PowerBar Overlook. Powerline roads intersect at this area, and there is a picnic table. The Tung Nut bicycle trail joins the Hammock Hub trail near this area. (For a trail map, see below.)
Time: 10:00 AM at the memorial site (arriving by bicycling, hiking, or horseback riding). Or, meet at 9:30 AM at the picnic pavilion at the park entrance (directions below) if you prefer to be transported by truck to the memorial site.
Who: This message is being sent to CSO members and volunteers, and to the Gainesville Cycling Club (GCC). Please forward this message to anyone who may be interested.
 
Trail map: To obtain a trail map, visit the CSO website http://www.sanfelasco.net/, click Trails, and then click Map of Bicycle Trails.
Directions to the park: To the equestrian and mountain bike trailhead: Take I-75 to U.S. 441 (Milepost Exit 399) and drive south 2.8 miles. Turn right onto Progress Blvd. Drive 0.7 miles to the park entrance. (Continue past the end of the pavement and onto the grade road.)
