Strays head south across the Worthington Springs bridge on SR 121

Saturday May 20, Strays will gather at De Soto Park in Hague for a 32 mile ride through Hague, LaCrosse, Worthington Springs, and Hainesworth. We might also visit the Cellon Oak, if anyone hasn't already seen it.

For those Strays in early training for the Santa Fe and Horse Farm Centuries, a map will be provided that will extend the 32 mile ride to 40 or 45 miles. If you will need a copy of this map, let me know ahead of time, and I will email you a copy to print out.

Meet at 8 am for an 8:15 departure.

There will be two rest room / convenience store stops, at about the 8 and 24 mile points on the ride.

Post ride the hungry will head to a local restaurant for lunch, probably the Up Town Cafe or Conestoga.

Speeds 6 - 28 mph, depending on terrain. Average speed has typically been 13-14 mph in recent times.
This ride is generally quite flat,  but there is one hill worth mentioning, heh..heh..

No pacelines, no racing, no wheel sucking, just a fun social ride.

Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides, mirrors recommended, headphones forbidden.

If you haven't been on a ride with the Strays before,
you will need to read this information regarding
Safety Protocols.:   http://gccfla.org/strays.html
