The Hokey Pokey group will ride to Windsor on Saturday, August 27.   Riders should meet at the Rochelle Parking area at 8:00 a.m. for a 8:15 ride start.

This 17 mile ride (with some longer options) will be on roads with cars, with the return route on the Gainesville Hawthorne Trail.   Riders who just want to ride on the rail trail can meet us at Rochelle, for tire pumping and a mechanical safety check, and then ride on the Rail Trail.

Everyone is welcome to come on this ride (of course, you must wear a bike helmet).  Don't worry about being slow, no one is slower than me and we never leave anyone behind.

The ride will be chaperoned by the ride leader who will ride at the back of the group to make sure no one gets lost.  The ride leader is also a bicycle mechanic who can help fix flat tires and help with any other mechanical problems.

Directions to Rochelle:   Go east on University Avenue, go over Waldo Road.  About 1/4 mile east of Waldo Road, take the right fork in the road, which is State Road 20.  Go about 5 miles east on SR 20, and cross the bridge over Prairie Creek.  About 1/4 mile past the bridge, turn right onto County Road 2082.  Go about 1/2 mile, the Rochelle parking lot will be on the right, at the intersection of CR 2082 and CR 234.

Why Hokey Pokey rides?
Cause that's what it's all about!
