FWIW:  I should have added that I almost always ride with it on the low setting, tilted down a bit   Also, I use it primarily when cycling alone or with no cyclist behind me.  A number of drivers have slowed to examine it before passing me.  They also seem to be giving me an extra- wide berth but that could be because I ride a “strange” bright yellow recumbent P-38 and am obviously an old geezer. They certainly appear to have no problem seeing me.

To each his own.

Bob -

I hate these GD things - any rider behind you is blinded - since many other LED lights are visible up to 1/2 mile, what's the point? If anyone hits you with any other tail light, they're probably drunk, and your light won't make any difference - except to your fellow cyclist that hits the pot hole because his vision is blasted by your light.

FWIW & FYI only:   My new DiNotte LED red taillight lights up like a police cruiser … it’s highly visible for hundreds of feet behind me.

Simply amazing.   It’s quite expensive and to me, worth every cent.
