Beach and biking anyone? Tony and I, along with some other GCC members, are traveling to St. Augustine to enjoy the beach and a bicycle festival. Details:

Cycling Festival (http://www.staugustinecyclingfestival.com/) Sep 11 and 12 at the St Augustine Amphitheater. Looks like lots of fun activities, including a tricycle time trial and live music on Sat night.
Bicycle ride registration (http://www.active.com/cycling/st-augustine-fl/endless-summer-watermelon-ride-2010) Endless Summer Watermelon ride is on Sunday Sep 12. Registration fee is $40 and includes a t-shirt if you register by Aug 30. Also includes a meal afterward.
Accommodations. Tony and I are camping at Anastasia State Park (http://www.floridastateparks.org/anastasia/default.cfm and http://www.reserveamerica.com/), which is adjacent to the amphitheater where the cycling festival will be. We have camped here in the past: nice campground, and the park has a beautiful beach. However, I realize camping isn't for everyone :). Another idea is Anastasia Inn (http://www.anastasiainn.com/). I have never stayed here, but the location seems close to the festival. You may find something more charming.
