Dear Friends: On Saturday 24 September the EZ Riders and the Hokey Pokies will ride the Nature Coast Trail, starting at 9:00 AM from the Chiefland Trailhead. We will ride North to the Suwanee River, returning to Chiefland in time to explore that Emporium of Wonderful Things, the thrift store, and then lunch at BarBQ Bill's for some good Mississippi River style BBQ (well, it isn't Kansas City, but . . .) We will ride at our normal majestic pace. Suitable for families, and we leave no one behind. To find the Chiefland Trailhead take SR 26 (Newberry Road) West to Trenton, then turn Left (South) on US 129 to Chiefland. Pick up US 19/98, and go South. The old railroad depot that is now the Trailhead is at the South end of town, on your left. Plenty of parking, and the restrooms are usually clean. Bring water, snacks, bug juice, sunscreen, whatever. There is one convenience store in Fanning Springs, near the route. Oh yes, bring some cash for the thrift store - good neckties for $1 each, and stuff like that. Questions? Email, or 333.3184. Cheers, George
