For all of you who bike,
hike,
or ride horses at San Felasco Hammock Preserve State Park, we're having our
regular, 2nd Saturday of the month, work day on Saturday, July 12. This is
sponsored by the Friends of San Felasco Citizen Support Organization (CSO),
and
will be coordinated by CSO Vice President Kevin Curry.
All trail help would be greatly appreciated! Assistance is also needed at the CSO building, to work with Terry Munn on items such as installing drywall and digging a water line trench. Please
be at the park pavilion (park entrance off SR 441 just south of
Alachua) Saturday morning at 9 A.M. Be sure to bring gloves
and hand tools if you have them.
In addition, bring a water bottle, sunblock, bug spray,
and safety glasses if you wish. Long
pants are recommended. Bikes are optional, because there
are
trucks taking crews out to the work locations.
The
workday will go until about noon, and then you'll have a great lunch to
reward
you for all your hard work! Please bring
your own
water bottle to fill up.
Let
me
know if you have any questions or need directions. Your help is
greatly
appreciated in keeping San Felasco a premier Florida state
park! Lee Ross Friends of San Felasco CSO secretary
