On a drizzly day Strays get ready to ride from
Velvet's
home. 3-3-07
On Saturday March 10, Strays will ride about 32
-33 miles, in the Hague, Hainesworth and Lacrosse areas.
Arrive at DeSoto Park near Hague at 9 am for a 9:15
start.
Speed 2.5 - 46 mph, depending on terrain.
Average speed has typically been 12 -
13 mph in recent times.
There will be a convenience store / rest room stop at about every
10
miles in the ride.
Post ride the hungry may head to a local restaurant for lunch in
Alachua,
joining the Pedalers.
No pacelines, no racing, no wheel sucking, just a fun social
ride.
Helmets are REQUIRED on all Strays rides,
mirrors recommended, headphones
forbidden.

From the intersection of NW 43rd ave and 441, go NW on 441 for 2 miles
to
25A. DeSoto Park is in the tree area just before the convenience store on
the
right (north) side of 441.
