A Special Sunday Evening Ride:

Day: Sunday, July 3rd    

Time: 5:45 pm meeting, 6:00 pm departure (We’re going to try this ride out and  see if there is good reception for it and possibly make it into a new addition to the HighBee rides, either weekly or on occasion)

Meeting Place: Parking lot in front of Publix at Steeplechase, on Newberry Road at NW 143^rd Street in the Jonesville area. We’ll meet in the southern part of the parking lot just east of SunTrust so we are out of the way of the parking for those shopping.

Route and Mileage: We will ride north on CR 241 through Alachua and up to CR 236, turn east and go to CR 239, turning south to go to CR 235 and back into Alachua for a rest stop at about 25 miles into the ride. From there down CR 241 back to Jonesville with the ride totaling 35.5 miles. We expect to be back at Jonesville by around 8:00 pm.

Pace: The HighBees ride pace is about 17-18 MPH. This is a friendly, no drop ride; we re-group at all turns when needed.

Membership Requirements: Please note that HighBee rides are open to all GCC members who wish to participate. Those that are non-members may ride with the group as a guest of a sponsoring member once without being required to be a member.
