Hi fellow GCC members!  I just wanted to give everybody a heads up that there will be a half marathon foot race held on the Gainesville-Hawthorne Trail this Saturday morning, November 12, 2011.

The trail is still open to all users, but will be more crowded than usual, so you may want to consider changing your planned route to avoid the congestion if you are riding out that way.  The foot race will only take place on the section of the trail from the Boulware Springs trailhead in Gainesville to the Rochelle trailhead at Angle Road (County Rd 234 and CR-2082) about 6.5 miles from the Gainesville trailhead.
