After a week which included some ridiculously oppressive heat, mother
nature smiled upon our little region of the state and provided us with
the best weather we could possibly hope for to host a TT in the
summer.  With a mild breeze, and cloud cover keeping the temperatures
down, the only heat to be found in Brooker today was from the
competitors lighting up the road.

In the Merckx field, we saw one of the most impressive performances
that this series has ever seen; the cast and crew were shocked to see
the Merckx record fall.  "Diamond" David Gibson shattered the previous
Merckx record, taking a full quarter of a minute off of the previous
best time.  But, even more impressive than that, he rode the last 6k
with his rear tire going flat!  We can't even imagine what sort of
time he would have thrown down without that misfortune, and we're
looking forward to see what he can do next month.

In the aero field, although the leader board didn't change, Ryan
Saylor ran away with the top time of the day.  Second, third, and
fourth were hotly contested and all within just a few seconds of each
other.

Although there were rumors that a group of people might show up to
knock off the "Anything Goes" category this month, we had no takers
today.  Perhaps these guys will be here next time?

And finally, we would like to congratulate Jo Weaver for coming out
and giving it her all and competing in todays event.  She opted to not
have her time recorded, but we're positive she had a great result and
had fun doing it.

We need to give a shout out to the volunteers who help make this event
happen!  Timing was managed by the dynamic duo of Matt "no, I need to
add 3 seconds to your time, trust me" Staras and Doug "what's that
guys name again?" Folkerth.  Traffic control at the turn-around was
managed by Gerry Bouchard.  And of course, photography was performed
by Rob and Velvet.  Without you guys, none of this would be possible,
thank you.

Now, on to the results and standings.
