To all HighBee riders:

Please provide your input for the ride options on January, 24th to coincide with the GCC Chilly Chili Cook-Off.

  1. Meet at Oleno State Park and ride the Suwannee River Greenway that goes from Oleno through Branford to the Little River Springs State Park, a distance of 12 miles each way. Then eat chili. No riding after eating chili; unless anyone wants to.
  2. Meet in Alachua and ride up to Oleno and then ride the Suwannee River Greenway and return to Oleno. Then eat chili. Afterwards ride back to Alachua which will be a little slower due to being full of chili.
  3. Meet at Jonesville and ride to Oleno. Then eat chili. Afterwards ride back to Jonesville. Distance is about 25 miles each way. 25 miles empty and 25 miles full of chili.
  4. Meet at the Chevron station and ride to Oleno. Then eat chili. Afterwards ride back to the Chevron. 25 miles empty and 25 miles full of chili.

Please e-mail me back with your preference; and if you like you can put the options in order of your preference, by number, such as “4, 2, 3, and 1” for example. All of the options have their pluses and minuses, so I thought I’d throw it out to the group and see what others thought. For that matter if you have an idea for another ride that will coincide with the Chili Cook-Off at Oleno, feel free to throw that out for consideration as well.

Based on the replies I receive I’ll send an e-mail with the final ride plans for January 24th.

Thanks for your help,

Mike
