Could you tell me where is Turlington Cemetary? (Relative to campus) Thanks! I believe the team-florida ride meets from the Turlington Plaza (the big "baked potato" right across from the bell tower). The cemetery is on Angle Road outside of Micanopy. It will be at the usual time and place (8 am at Turlington). This is a traditional "race" we do a few times a year. It's a 7.1 mile individual time trial, meaning you're racing a clock and not other people. It's very informal: no numbers, registration, or prizes (just glory and immortality in the master spreadsheet). We just time you so you can see where your fitness is now, and you'll have a great barometer as you improve during team training. We'll explain it more when you get there, but everyone should give it a shot, especially the new people. I would appreciate one volunteer to help me time it, since I'd like to race it this time. We'll have another in a couple weeks that I'll time myself. Please reply if you're available for this. I might even buy you BBQ at the pearl country store. Rules: TT bikes, skinsuits, aerobars, etc. are fine, but don't get too wacky with equipment. We don't want anyone stranded with a tubular tire or a 90 mm rim that no one has a spare tube for. This is for your own time, so the most important thing is that you use the same equipment each time you do it. -Phil Gaimon 770-833-0814 www.philthethrill.net <http://www.philthethrill.net> www.Cycle-Smart.com <http://www.cycle-smart.com> ----------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from GCCMail, please go to http://gccfla.org/.
