Hello All,
The workday for Christmas bikes at the Kickstand is confirmed
for Saturday, Dec. 12, for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This
would be a fun activity to participate in before our annual Christmas
Party. The Kickstand is at 622 South Main Street, next to Gainesville
Rock Gym.
Please bring any bikes that you wish to donate, especially kids bikes
and small adult bikes. Any adult bikes that we don't use can be
donated to The Kickstand.
We are still collecting bikes for the Christmas Bikes for Kids.
We need bikes with 24" wheels (these bikes fit middle school
students)
and bikes with 20" wheels (which fit elementary age kids)
If you have bikes you would like to donate, please contact Chandler
(at this e-mail)
1) You can drop donation bikes at Bikes and More, 2133 NW 6th
Street, 373-6574. Please put a tag on them that says "Christmas
bike"
2) E-mail Chandler and he can come and pick them up
3) Bring them to The Kickstand on a workday when Chandler is
there (Fridays 3-6 p.m.)
The bikes will be distributed to deserving children by School
Resource Officers of the Gainesville Police Department.
One reason we get help from the police at GCC bike events is that GCC has
helped with Christmas bikes for more than 20 years.
If you
have questions, please E-mail me.
